Finding your balance in a 11/2 year
I have been looking ahead to 2027 for a while now, and it is a year worth talking about early.
After more than thirty years of working with intuition, I have learned that some years ask us to push and others ask us to listen. 2027 is a listening year, inwardly to our inner guidance and intuition, and outwardly, to each other.
Where the 11/2 comes from
Add the digits of the year together: 2 + 0 + 2 + 7 = 11.
In numerology, 11 is a Master Number, so we don't rush to reduce it. It carries a strong spiritual charge of its own. But it does also reduce to 2 (1 + 1), which is why you will see the year written as 11/2. Both numbers are at work, and you will feel both.
A Universal Year is the backdrop we all share. It sets the tone for what is happening around us, in the world and in our relationships.
After the rush of 2026
2026 is a Universal 1 Year: usually moving fast or stop-start, definitely independent, and all about starting things. Many of us have been planting seeds on our own at some stage during the year.
2027 changes the pace. We are asked to slow down, pay attention to each other, and build bridges. What you started alone now needs other people.

Emotions sit close to the surface, so small things can sting more than usual.
Almost every challenge of an 11 year is one of its gifts without enough grounding.

Here is an example for a birthday on 24 May:
Birth month: May = 5
Birth day: 2 + 4 = 6
Universal Year: 11
Total: 5 + 6 + 11 = 22
22 is a Master Number, so this person has a 22/4 year. Reduced fully, it is a Personal Year 4.

The Chinese Year of the Fire Goat agrees
The Chinese calendar tells a similar story. From 6 February 2027 we enter the Year of the Fire Goat, a gentle, creative sign that thrives in good company. It follows the fast, independent Fire Horse of 2026, just as the cooperative 2 follows the pioneering 1.
