One of the many pathways to developing your intuitive accuracy is through the process of learning to trust your inner guidance.

1: Meditation

During meditation, practice surrendering to the present moment without attachment to thoughts or outcomes. Breathe awareness and conscious breathing are the easiest and most productive places to begin.

2: Cultivate openness and receptivity

Cultivate a mindset of openness and receptivity by releasing expectations about how intuition should manifest.

Trust that your intuitive insights often come in unexpected ways or at unexpected times, and remain open to receiving them.

(I often ask the Universe to make the information loud and clear, in case I miss it!).

3: Journaling 

Journalling is one of many great tools to develop your inner guidance without judgment or self-censorship.

Writing freely and openly allows intuitive insights to flow onto the page without overanalysing or questioning their validity.

A tried and tested practice, Morning Pages are liberating and a great way to allow your intuition, and access to universal intelligence, to flourish naturally. Used by thousands, the Morning Pages are tried, tested and work!

4: Don't miss out on your intuitive body talk!

Practice tuning into bodily sensations and subtle cues as a way to access intuitive guidance. This involves listening to your body's responses to different situations and experiences.

A helpful method to enhance your ability to receive intuitive bodily responses is through meditation. You can do this by consciously moving your awareness from the top of your head to the soles of your feet.

Follow these steps to practice daily

1. Begin by slowly and deliberately moving your awareness over your skin from the top to the bottom of your body. Pay attention to areas of stress or tension, as well as areas that feel relaxed.

2. Start at the top of your head, noticing every small part.

3. Move down the back of your head, including your neck.

4. Focus on your ears

5. Feel your face

6. Acknowledge your throat

7. Move to your arms, both top and bottom, including underarms

8. Pay attention to the tops and bottoms of your hands, and each finger one by one

9. Feel your whole back

10. Move to your entire front

11. Focus on your legs, both front and back, down to your ankles

12. Finally, notice the tops of your feet, every toe, and the soles of both feet

Repeat 3 times once or twice a day, very slowly.

Don't miss out on your intuitive 'body talk'

If you want to deepen this practice and nurture your physical awareness even more, repeat the above, consciously moving your awareness inside your body, from top to bottom.

Notice any feelings of expansion, contraction, lightness, tension or heaviness in different places. Your body is giving you information all the time. Simply make time to start listening a little more each day, using the practices above.

5: Intuitive decision-making

When faced with decisions, practice making choices based on intuitive guidance rather than solely relying on rational analysis.

Trust your gut feelings, an immediate inner word or emotion, instinctive reactions (not thoughts), and reflect and be guided by the wisdom they offer.

6: Mindful observation

The enemy of intuition is the mind

Cultivate a practice of mindful observation by simply noticing and witnessing the present moment without judgment or interference.

To do this, become aware throughout your day of when your thoughts are on remembering and recalling past thoughts or experiences OR you are focused on the future, which has not happened yet.

Becoming aware of your thinking and whether you are in the present, the past or the future, strengthens your ability to know the difference between your thoughts and your intuitive responses and inner guidance.

Only when you become more aware of where your thoughts are -  past or future, can you consciously return to being fully present to whatever you're doing at that moment.

7: Connect with nature

Spend time in nature, in silence, and observe the natural world with a sense of presence, wonder and gratitude.

Trust in the wisdom of the natural world to inspire and guide you, and learn to surrender and expand into the flow of life being created and unfolding around you.

Allow time every week (day if possible!), to get out in nature - bush, sea, beach, lake, boardwalk, and enjoy the weather as well as what's happening around you.

Focus on one sense at a time

  • Listen to the sounds around you

  • Look carefully at what you're moving through

  • Smell what's going on around you

  • Touch a leaf or flower, shell or wave and experience it fully

Be present and enjoy.

8: Practice patience

Cultivate patience and trust in the timing of intuitive guidance.

Understand that intuitive insights may not always come immediately or on demand, but by surrendering to the process, you allow space for intuition to unfold in its own time.

9: Release fear and doubt

Let go of fear, doubt, and self-doubt that may block or inhibit intuitive guidance. Practice returning to the present moment.

Trust in your inherent wisdom and inner knowing, and surrender to the belief that you are capable of accessing intuitive insights.

10: Gratitude and surrender

Cultivate an attitude of gratitude for the guidance and support of intuition in your life. You may see intuitive moments played out around you as coincidences or synchronicities, too.

Use your awareness to connect and nurture your gratitude

At the beginning, ending and/or throughout your day, PAUSE, look around you and find something beautiful to express your gratitude for.

It's proven that the more we genuinely feel grateful, the more we are gifted from the universe to be grateful for. Enoy!

Include these practices in your life and allow your intuition to flourish
